1.A Lebus sleeve is a split‑type grooved outer cover fitted onto a smooth winch drum.
2. It is normally made of two half‑arc segments and fixed by bolts around the drum surface.
3. Its outer surface is machined with special broken‑line grooves, consisting of straight segments and inclined transition segments.
4. The straight grooves support steady rope seating while the inclined sections guide layer‑to‑layer rope crossover.
5. This controlled‑groove structure arranges multi‑layer wire rope neatly and prevents rope biting, chaos and premature wear.
