This system is still the most effective and perfect method to prolong the life of wire rope. Tests have shown that the use with Wire rope specifications match the rope groove, Lebus drum can prolong the life of wire rope more than 500%.
LBS rope groove makes the load evenly distributed between layers, and the practice proves that it greatly prolongs the life of wire rope. In fact, the test surface can extend wire rope life by more than 500%. Reducing wire rope damage increases safety and reduces machine downtime.
The disadvantage of LBS rope groove drum is that it is more complex, so it is a little more expensive than the spiral rope groove drum. However, this additional cost is quickly compensated for by the savings in wire rope, which is expensive and takes up production time to replace.
LBS rope groove drum also requires certain operating conditions. The most important of these conditions is the deflection Angle of the wire rope, which is the Angle between the wire rope from the reel to the first fixed pulley. Generally speaking, this deflection Angle should not be greater than 1.5° and should not be less than 0.5°. There are some slight differences (about a 0.25° variation), but it is good to remember this general statistic. The optimal deflection Angle also depends on the load, cable structure and lifting speed. This deflection Angle indicates that for every 10m from the drum to the pulley, the distance between the wire rope and the midpoint of the drum should not be greater than 260mm (520mm between the two flanges). 9 Q2 ` 2 L! For LBS groove reels, if the deflection Angle exceeds the recommended range, a special rope called Angle compensator can be used to relax and be damaged by extruding or twisting of the outer wire rope onto the groove.

The drum rope groove of drill winch adopts the form of double broken line structure, and its characteristics are diagonal rope groove and straight rope groove appear alternately, thus forming two diagonal rope groove area and two straight rope groove area on the surface of the drum. The so-called inclined rope groove refers to the rope groove that intersects diagonally with the drum bus, and the straight rope groove refers to the rope groove that intersects directly with the drum bus or is parallel to the flange. Diagonal strong groove controls the pitch of rope groove, which accounts for a small proportion in a circle of rope groove. Its structure point can effectively alleviate the problems of extrusion deformation, mutual friction and early wear of wire rope during loading.
The processing and production of the lebus groove can be directly processed on the drum as a whole, and can also be made into a set with the rope groove, and made into a split type, wrapped in the smooth drum when installed, connected with the drum through bolts or welding. The material of folding rope groove barrel can be divided into carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, aluminum or glass fiber, etc. The barrel can be made by sheet rolling or casting.
