The LBS system is a method of controlling the spooling of wire rope on a winch drum so that there is no practical limit to the number of layers that can be spooled with safety, irrespective of the severity of load and speed conditions or the sizes of rope and drum.LBS grooved drum, solved the problem of bitten rope in wire rope winding process. LBS groove system makes the winding of wire rope smooth, and the load of each layer evenly distributed, the technology greatly prolong the service life of wire rope, extend the service life of wire rope can be more than 500%, reduce the wire rope damage, improves the safety of the operation of the equipment, and reduces the problem of mechanical equipment shutdown for changing rope.
LBS rope groove structure
LBS rope groove:This type of rope groove is kept parallel to the flange end face in most sections of the drum circumference, only intersecting with the flange end face in very small sections. Therefore, the rope groove will inevitably experience bending, hence the name "broken line rope groove". There are two transitional sections and two parallel sections within a week.
Except for the two transition zones, the rope grooves are parallel to the drum flange, and only the rope grooves in the transition zone are inclined. The rope grooves in the transition zone move half a pitch, and after passing through the two transition zones, the rope grooves move exactly one pitch. This means that except for the transition zone, the steel wire rope runs parallel to the drum flange on the surface of the drum. In the transition zone, the steel wire rope is inclined more than half a pitch, resulting in: after the first layer of steel wire rope is wound, A groove shape is formed between the rope and the rope, which is the same as the original groove shape. In this way, the second and third layers can be wrapped neatly and orderly according to the original groove marks.
Another key feature of the LBS rope groove is the design of an "end insert", also known as a stepped retaining ring, at the bottom of the flange at the end of the drum, which guides the smooth transition of the steel wire rope from the first layer to the second layer.
